Jakarta (ANTARA) – iPhone fans may be very enthusiastic about the launch of the iPhone 15. They can’t wait to change their cellphone to the latest version. But what about people who stick with their old iPhone phones?
One of the best things you can do is protect the life of your iPhone battery. Battery life is the period of time before the user needs to replace it, so this is different from battery life.
The rechargeable battery in an iPhone should function at optimal capacity for at least several years, but that depends on various factors, such as environmental temperature, how the battery is charged, damage from drops or a damaged battery.

Battery life is the amount of time the battery can power the cellphone before needing to be recharged. Here are some tips that can be applied so that users don’t replace the battery sooner than they should, as Cnet reported some time ago.
First, make sure Optimized Battery Charging is enabled. The iPhone has settings that learn the user’s daily charging routine (e.g. the user always plugs in the phone before bed and then unplugs it in the morning).
Then, the phone waits to finish charging above 80 percent until right before the user needs it, instead of just quickly charging the battery to 100 percent.
This can help reduce battery aging, and although the setting should be enabled by default default, it’s still good to check if this setting is active. In Settings, go to Battery > Battery Health & Charging and make sure that Optimized Battery Charging is enabled.
Second, keep your iPhone away from extreme temperatures. iPhone battery life can be affected by extreme temperatures. Higher temperatures increase the speed of chemical reactions inside the battery, which forces the battery to work harder and faster, also causing it to fail more quickly.
According to Apple, it is important to avoid exposing the iPhone to temperatures over 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) to avoid permanent damage.
Fortunately, the fix is quite simple, keep your iPhone away from hot temperatures. If the user is at the beach, do not leave the iPhone on a towel in direct sunlight. Just put it in a bag or put clothes over it to protect it.
Also, don’t leave your iPhone in the car for long periods of time, especially if the weather is hot.
Apple does have some settings to prevent overheating and damage, such as turning off the phone or preventing further charging when the phone gets too hot.
But users don’t seem to want to depend on these features to save the phone’s battery health. It is better to take precautions than wait for the phone to overheat.
Third, users may need to disengage casing iPhones. If the iPhone gets hot every time it charges, the user may need to disconnect casing before doing it. A number of casingespecially larger and more protective ones, can trap heat and make the iPhone hot, affecting battery life.
Apart from letting go casingconsider avoiding applications that require a lot of processing power, such as games, while the phone is recharging. Using these apps while charging can also make the phone hot.
