1. StandBy
StandBy mode or StandBy mode will turn your iPhone screen into a smart display when charged in a horizontal position, as quoted from MacRumors, Monday (18/9/2023).
Like the AlwaysOn Display feature on Android devices, iOS 17 users can see various information, widgets and favorite photos on the screen during the battery charging process.
2. Contact Posters
iPhones with iOS 17 can now create a more personalized contact display, which appears when a phone call comes in on the cellphone.
This time, users can customize the Contact Poster using photos or Memoji, and customized fonts and background colors.
The Contact Posters feature is available in the default Phone app and will be available for third-party calling apps.
3. NameDrop
Another interesting feature in iOS 17 is NameDrop, where users can share contact information by simply holding their iPhone close to it.
Both users can choose specifically whether they want to share their cell phone number or email address, when using this feature on their iPhone.
4. Swipe to Reply in iMessage
Now, you can reply to messages in iMessage by simply swiping the chat to the right. Previously, users had to tap and hold to bring up the reply chat option.
